Jolene’s began with a simple moment of inspiration. On a bachelorette trip, I stumbled into a beautiful little shop that had everything I loved in one place—refreshing drinks, great books, and a cozy space where kids could hang out and feel the magic too. I remember thinking, I wish we had something like this closer to home. Then that thought turned into, I wish I could spend my days in a place like this. And that’s how Jolene’s began.
My husband and I have both spent years in the corporate world (he still does), but after staying home with our daughter for a year and a half, I realized I didn’t want to go back to a job that didn’t light me up. I wanted to build something meaningful—something I was truly passionate about, and something that could include our whole family.
Jolene’s—my middle name and our daughter’s—became that dream.
Our son has always loved stories, but getting him into reading wasn’t always easy. Once we found the right books, everything changed. Now he’s a gifted reader and currently making his way through Harry Potter (he’s on book five!). That journey reminded us how powerful the right space—and the right story—can be.
Our idea of a perfect day is simple: time together as a family, a refreshing drink in hand, a good book, fresh flowers nearby, and a cozy place to just be. That’s exactly what we set out to create with Jolene’s.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink, settling in with a book, meeting friends, or getting some work done—you’re welcome here. Bring your kids to play or read in the kids’ corner, or enjoy a conversation while your drink stays hot (or perfectly iced). Stay as long as you’d like. Come and go as you please.
More than anything, we want Jolene’s to feel like your place as much as it is ours—a space to relax, to connect, to get lost in a story, and to feel at home.
